“Are you still going to be in Toowoomba?” is the first thing Dion said to me (actually he wrote it on our Facebook ) when he heard about us moving out of our main street studio to work from home in 2012.
They had booked us over a year in advance and one of the things they loved about us was that we were from this area. For some reason, Dion forgot that we already had a studio in the city (Stone’s Corner, Brisbane) as well as one in Toowoomba.
But, we weren’t moving, all was well. We eventually moved out of the Brisbane one as well to be here.
Leisa and Dion were having their wedding at the stunning Branell Homestead and I was fortunate enough to be photographing my first wedding there after some 8 years of being a photographer. These guys loved the rolling hills and world-away-from-the-world feel of Branell, as did I when I first saw it.
The view from the front of the property is stunning enough that we had to capture it twice and the ceremony overlooking the grounds was beautiful.
The orchard, the driveway, inside the old school, Harry Potter style library – gorgeous!
Leisa, Dion and their bridal party were hilarious – laughs all day. (And after, whenever we caught up) All the best for the future, guys! You rocked!
