Wedding | Mel and Aaron

I’m going to use this post to show some of the imagery we are known for BESIDES our glamour. Or more exactly, how we seek out the glamour in every part of the day, not just the portraits of the couple.

Don’t get me wrong, this wedding had glamour, but with a little unforeseen shift in timeline, and being with these guys for four days on the beautiful Daydream Island, the wedding day was a fairly relaxed affair, despite our gorgeous bride being a little late to the ceremony :)

But capturing all these moments, like at the reception when people are just naturally being something beautiful, in the best light that we can find or make, is something Annielyn Images has always strived to do.

Anna and I have known Mel for a long time, like twelve years. We know her brothers, we know her father and mother, and my youngest sister went to school with her.

When she first talked about Aaron (Anna and I being older and obviously wiser) we just thought he seemed to be a nice guy for Mel. But not much more than that. We hadn’t met him, and at the time living far apart, we hadn’t seen all that much of Mel.

But she kept talking about him. Whenever we ran into her she would tell us the story about how he gave her a lift home and his car left oil on the driveway, how she rung him to complain about it and how he came over and actually cleaned it up and then Aaron this and Aaron that and about a year ago there were phone calls to us about a wedding. It was on!

I’d never been to the Whitsundays – they don’t disappoint! No one was on that island except guests at the resort, which created a unique atmosphere (ie there were no daytrippers)

Mel and Aaron had their ceremony at the chapel on the other end of the island, and then had their outdoor reception on the deck on the beach at Lover’s Cove. One long banquet table at the receptions was a unique twist, and the stars over the ocean and the lights in the trees made this wedding have a very calming feel.

I have only seen something like this one other time, and that was SINCE this wedding, and you can read about that one soon :)

Every girl at this wedding wore something designed by Mel (seeing as she is a designer :) ) – she wore her own creation, as did her bridesmaids, and all the females (including Anna) had a custom hairpiece made.

And Aaron is just great, as Mel had told us :P But, let’s face it – these are always about the bride LOL

PS maybe in a future post, we will show the day after shoot – it’s not your typical day after shoot though!!! :O

Wow just stunning. Again Anna and Kris you have captured the mood and emotion of the day not just the people. You guys continue to push boundaries with superb results.
