Our Tassie Trip

Tags

Around this time last year we were in Tasmania. Not a place we had really thought about visiting but had heard how beautiful it is. When an opportunity arose we were there in an instant:)

One of the first things i noticed when we flew in was it’s character, the harbour and the amazing city behind it, which stretched up into the mountainside. So different to how I imagined it. I knew that I was going to have a great time, especially with my camera.

Our first stop was the camping store as Kris is a big fan of camping and even though we weren’t camping (because it’s winter) he still bought down a few goodies for our treks. One of which is his beloved Jetboil, which you will see makes a few special appearances in my photos:):)

We had a few things planned I was quick to realise that even though it doesn’t look far to certain places it would take double or even triple the time to get there as there were so many amazing places to stop at along the way. And of course we had to stop and look and photograph them all.

One of my most memorable moments was when we travelled up to wine glass bay to do a hike and take some photos. As we would have it, it decided to rain and we were not able to do the hike we wanted to:( So we did a small one, and it was windy and rainy and unfortunately the visibility was not very good at all. So after a quick hot drink (thanks to the Jetboil) we headed home. On the way home there was a rainbow and I had thought to myself wouldn’t it be nice to find a pot of gold at the end of it LOL. We seemed to be chasing it and you wouldn’t believe it we came around the corner and I saw this….
