A six hour road trip turns into about a 9 hour roadtrip when you have a bub! But we were stoked to all go down to Gunnedah to photograph Olivia and Nick’s wedding (me) and hang out with some old friends (Anna and Charli)

Olivia and Nick had even further to go from Brisbane where they were heading to Olivia’s family home for an awesome wedding in the country.
Olivia met nick when she was a young student and Nick was ‘in the band’. The band was going places, and that’s where I met Nick a few years ago, when we were shooting filmclips.
Olivia, although I didn’t know at the time, is the sister of the groom of another couple that we photographed many years ago at All Hallows in Brisbane – we’ve become good friends since documenting their family so when I met Olivia it just all slid into place.

I love it when we are honoured enough to get referrals – it’s the biggest compliment we could be given.

There’s beautiful landscape out there, and I had never been to that part of New South Wales.

Wicked sunlights and long afternoon light. Nick’s a pilot so we had to incorporate that as this was Olivia’s home turf

The wedding was beautiful in a convent chapel, and the reception at Olivia’s parent’s property in a stunning marquee. The guests partied hard I was amused to note the groomsmen rattling off the names of all the (night) spots to go to ina small town like Gunnedah.
